The DHZ550 disc separator is purpose-engineered for the brewing industry, providing high-efficiency yeast removal and green beer clarification. With its high G-force design and self-cleaning technology, this separator delivers brilliantly clear beer while reducing filtration costs and preserving beer quality for both craft breweries and large-scale industrial brewing operations.
Green beer containing suspended yeast and fine solids enters the rotating bowl through the feed tube and flows into the disc stack. Under centrifugal force exceeding 5,400 G, yeast cells and haze particles are rapidly sedimented on the disc surfaces and slide to the bowl periphery. The clarified beer flows through the disc gaps toward the center and exits through the centripetal pump. Accumulated yeast and solids are periodically discharged through the automatic partial discharge system without interrupting production. The entire process operates at low temperature (0-4°C), preserving beer flavor, aroma, and colloidal stability.
